Progress on my Taos quilt top...

I finished the parts of the center star yesterday, ready to start assembling.

Today I was able to finish these four corner blocks they are finished but not perfect. This is not an easy pattern I have a lot more piecing to do before this top is complete.
 

Back to quilting with a UFO...

This is the quilt pattern "Taos" that I started two years ago. I have most of the center done and need to piece a fancy border. 

Here's what has been happening since the last post in August of 2023...

I underwent a stem cell transplant July 29,2023. I was in the hospital until 

August 9,2023. It was the second time in the hospital in less than one year, not what you really want to do. I didn't get back to normal after my hip replacement, but did physical therapy to get as strong as I could before the stem cell transplant. Glad I did because the stem cell transplant took a lot out of me, it was the hardest thing I have ever done. It took me until October before I felt human again. I was able to get back to physical therapy again December 12,2023. Started getting all my vaccines and childhood shots too. I was very fortunate during all this journey to have my Daughter's support taking care of me and driving me to all my appointments. 

Fast forward to now February 10,2024 I am feeling much better, not as strong as I want, but I'm working on it with PT twice a week. I am able to drive and take myself to all my appointments now. Also playing cards and Mah Jongg with Friends. As soon as I get more stamina back, it doesn't get dark so early, and I get my next round of shots in March I hope to get back to my Quilt Guild meetings.

Stay tuned and hopefully I will post more Quilt pictures soon. First up I plan on working through UFO's that have been on the back burner for awhile.

This quilt top has been waiting a very long time to get finished. It only needed to have the mitered corners sewn, They were already pinned and ready.
