 I think this is a whole cloth with color added only by the quilting and maybe some hand work.

 I missed getting a picture of the info for this beautiful quilt. I think the color added to this quilt was shadow work in adding colored fabric under the whole cloth on top of the trapunto.

 This one was very interesting because of the folded fabric in the borders.

 Just awesome quilting! So intricate and detailed.

This one made me smile. Lots of texture and so many bright colors.

I received three out of my four flat rate boxes today.

I received my ribbons and check in the mail today. I also got the sheet with the Judges comments. I find these very helpful.

 I met fellow blogger Janet O. the Rogue Quilter. We saw Judi Madsen's trunk show together. Judi is an amazing quilter and her quilts were beautiful.

One of the wonderful Quilters took our picture. It was great to meet and talk in person.

After the trunk show I went to my class with Jamie Wallens. He is a very thorough teacher and gave us a load of information. Also talked to him at his booth and found him to be a very nice person. I would highly recommend taking a class from him.

Hopefully I will get my flat rate boxes tomorrow.

Back from HMQS 2014...

Just got home today from my trip. I have lots to share, so it will be a few days of show and tell. I had to ship most of my purchases so they should get here on Thursday.

 First I want to share my joyful news! I was awarded an Honorable Mention ribbon on my Star Spangled Eagle quilt.

 Here I am with my quilt. What an honor.

Here is the quilt hanging at the show. It goes to its new owner after the show, hope I hear from Him or Her.

These are just a few examples of the Quilts of Valor that were in the challenge I participated in. All of them were beautiful and all so different!
