I went to Hilton Head, SC...

It rained today but my friend and I went to the Hilton Head Quilt Festival. The Palmetto Quilt Guild put on a wonderful display of beautiful quilts. They are very talented ladies. I will organize and show you the quilts tomorrow.

I helped the economy by purchasing some fabric and a pattern.

Also got a new book.

 I really liked these house slippers. There are quite a few other small gift projects and some beautiful quilts in this book.

It's Friday again...

Scotty has been telling me I should be quilting, but I have not been able to find a good space of time to get into it.

With Scotty's help I did get caught up on my Bella Verona BOM.

 Chipper helped too...

 Here are the three blocks all pressed and done. 

If the weather here stops raining by tomorrow morning, I am going to go check out a quilt show in Hilton Head, SC. I'll take pictures if all goes as planned and the rain stops.

Urban Deco Block...

This is the Urban Deco Block, made with the Quick Curve Ruler from Sew Kind of Wonderful . It was challenging to make this block first. Next for this block will be the addition of borders to make it into a medallion style quilt. As the fabric in this set is mostly cut in two and a half strips already. I plan to buy the Urban Birthday pattern for the next project to use this ruler. It uses a layer cake and I have one that has been waiting on a pattern/inspiration. I will show pictures when the pattern arrives.

Since I didn't do any quilting today the Kitties continued to use the loaded quilt for a very comfy bed. I will have to give them a reason to let me do some quilting tomorrow. Maybe some treats or a freshly warmed quilt from the dryer.
