Fabulous Fractures

Started cutting diamonds using Marti Michelle's templates and a Moda scrap bag. Maybe this will be big enough for a charity baby quilt.

I got a new book, Fabulous Fractures by Brenda Esslinger. This is my first try and I think it is going to make a nice spring wall hanging.
I have some fabrics for the borders and an idea of what I want to do, but will have to hunt for the directions on how to make some currled ribbons. I'll post a picture when I get it together.

I am off now with my family to the Columbia Zoo! More quilting later......

Paper piecing Class

I'm off to the local Quilt Shoppe today to teach a class of paper piecing.

I had a full class of six students, four were French speaking. We all had a very full day and learned alot from each other. I was very lucky that two of my french speaking students could speak very good english and could translate for the others. They all finished the upper left block and half of the lower right block. We are meeting tomorrow to continue sewing together.
