At Monday nights Carolina Pine Quilters Guild meeting we had Suzi Parron as a guest speaker. She was very entertaining and interesting to hear her tell the history of The American Quilt Trail Movement and share pictures in a slide show of Barn Quilts. The book is beautifully done and the stories are great. You can read more about the Barn Quilts HERE
The other exciting news was this box of quilt blocks that I was able to take home. The Maker's Daughter was cleaning out her Mother's home after she had been relocated to a Nursing Home. She had many quilt related items for sale.
I wanted to have these blocks to finish into a quilt as a remembrance of the Maker. I met her when I first moved to South Carolina and she was the Member of the Carolina Pine Quilters that invited me to my first Guild meeting. I am not sure of how they should be put together yet, but there are 66 of them. Any ideas of how these go together?
