Trees up...

And the blocks are almost all sewn.

For the last two blocks I am going to leave them partially assembled, so that my students can see how I did them. Today I will finish trimming and assembling all but the last row of tree blocks.

Drum Roll Please !!!!!!

First I want to show my two ribbon winning quilts!

This is my favorite quilt of the two that I entered. It is a new experience for me to win a blue ribbon and I am very proud of it. Kinda feels like a dream, guess I'll have to pinch myself, it's very humbling.

Then I was given a red ribbon on this my only other entry. I feel very blessed. There were twelve categories and a total of eighty quilts in the show.

Tomorrow I'll show you some of the pieced quilts that I liked. If you are in the area the quilts will be at the Aiken County Historical  Museum for all of  November.

Weekend progress

Chipper helped get my October Guild challenge ready to finish for the November meeting.

Then I stopped by the local Aiken Quilt Shoppe and ran into two ladies who wanted a class for how to make this tree quilt. I spoke up and said that I also had that pattern, then the LQS owner asked if I would teach the class, so now I am preparing for the class on November 9th. This will get my tree quilt done in the process and make a little spending money. (Yea!)

Tomorrow I will start showing the quilts from our local quilt show.
