While I was visiting my Mom in Ohio I visited a few Quilt Shops.
The first shop that we went to was The Good Wives Co. It is located in my home town of Marion, OH. They carry lots of reproduction fabric and wool. I picked up a few scraps of wool and some fabric for my Farmer's Wife Quilt.
The second shop that we visited was Serendipitee Quilt Shop . It is located in Wado, OH, also the home of the famous G & R Tavern and of course my Mom and I ate lunch there while we were in the area. The Quilt shop is small, but packed with a beautiful selection of top quality fabric (mostly contemporary + lots of blenders) I picked up this fireworks fabric to share with my Quilt Bee Ladies.
The third shop that we visited was Lonestar Quilting, LLC This shop is located in Marysville, OH. They are fairly new, but have a large variety of fabric and supplies. It is worth stopping to visit if you are in the area.
In the picture above my Mom is carrying one of the four purses that I made to take to Ohio for gifts. She picked 2 and I gave the others to my Sister and Niece. I am now in the process of making some more as I still have plans to give more away as gifts this Holiday season. I will defiantly take pictures of them this time before I give them away.
