Vehicles, ESP....

Things are looking up for me and my family. As of yesterday my DH started a new job, it's a contract job for at least 18 months and possibly 2 years. It has benifits and is in a line of work that he was interested in getting more experience in, YEA!
One minor problem, this morning his truck would not start, maybe the alternater or battery. I think that our vehicles have ESP, they know when you are about to get ahead money wise and then they bring you back to reality. At least we are able to send him off in my car until his is fixed, I'm sure I can manage with no car until his is functional again, anyway more time to sew and get ready for the Guild garage sale to be held October 12th.

This is the pile so far, now I'm off to sew, sort and price........Marj

A Top Finished

I finished my 30s quilt top today!

Now it will just have to wait until I can earn some money to get it quilted. It is a king size quilt so quilting it on my domestic machine would be beyond my current skills. With all the white spaces on this top I think it deserves some special quilting.

Now the inspectors are able to take a well deserved break.

Since I now have 12 followers on my blog I think it is almost time for a giveaway.........maybe some salvages or some fatquarters? As I streamline my stash, I will be looking for some nice pieces to have a drawing for. I was brave and made a list of quilt tops that are waiting to be quilted, quilts that are being worked on, and quilts that are in plastic boxes or bags waiting to be made. This list writing experience was kind of a scary exercise, it is an eye opener to see how many projects that I have accumulated. Most of them I still love and would like to make, but there are some that I now find I have no interest in making. Lucky for me and members of my guild, we are having a garage sale at our next meeting in October. So, I think I will save some goodies out for a giveaway to be announced in October.........Marj
