 One done...

Four more to go. Scotty is not too sure about these, so I guess he will decide when he sees the finished blocks. I need to have these and one row of Halloween blocks done by the second Monday of September.

Look what Thursday's mail brought...

Yes, I ordered this book by Kathy Doughty months ago and it finally arrived. I had seen a few other Quilters' blog about receiving it a few weeks ago and wanted to get mine too. Now that I have it, I am getting all kinds of creative ideas.

These vintage blocks were given to me by one of my fellow guild members. Her Mother made them many years ago and they were in her unfinished projects. There are 38 of them ready to be made into a quilt. I found this setting of similar blocks in Kathy's new book. Now I just need to figure out what fabric to use for the background.

There are many other great ideas for other creative quilts in this book.I think I will be reading it cover to cover.

Sagwa

These are my Eldest Daughter's new kittens. I visited with her this past weekend. Sagwa came from some Friends of hers that live in Columbia, SC. We picked Jessie up from the local PetSmart in Macon, GA. It was a very fun weekend, my youngest Daughter and I played with the kittens and helped get more things done around the apartment. I also got to check out a local quilt shop in Macon and hem her scrub pants for her.

This is the fabric that I purchased and I plan to make a table runner out of it.
