 Our teacher Susan revealing the finished quilt. I am excited to finish this mystery. It was a very fun day and the quilts are going to all be beautiful. There were a total of  twelve quilters at the class and everyone used different fabrics.

Oh! I almost forgot to show you the favors. Everyone got a framed piece of metal with a button magnet to hold their clues as they were revealed. I won one of the many great door prizes. Mine was 6-fat quarters and a pattern for a Suzi purse insert, that can also be used to organize your travel quilt tools. It was a wonderful day and I cannot wait to see everyone's finished quilts.

Spring is coming...

I have one iris that is blooming in my front garden.

I finished month 5 of my Lisa's Flower Garden BOM.

This is my finished block 2 of my Tonga Rhapsody BOM.Being caught up on both of my BOMs feels really good. 

Next on my list is to get my stuff ready for a Mystery quilt class that takes place this Saturday.

The Shop Hop...

This is my post about what came home with me from the Shop Hop.

The first thing I found was this little red bag to transport my Featherweight in. I also bought a quarter inch foot for the Featherweight. (I used money that I had been saving from Christmas.)

This is the first selection of fabric for a Regan tote that I got for my DD#1 to choose from.

This is the other selection to choose from. And just as I feared she liked them both. So, I am going to make her two bags, one regular size and one extra large.

Chipper checked out the patterns that I brought home. On the left is a little frame that holds seasonal mini quilts. the other pattern is for a wall hanging to make for our Church's apple fest in November. Oh, and a few Valdani threads.

Not a great picture of me, but in the background is Jim Shore's White House, located in Heath Springs, SC. After we ate lunch at the famous JOMAR'S in Lancaster, SC we stopped at the White House to shop.

In that beautiful house they sell Jim Shore figures, fabrics and gifts. I was able to pick up a couple of cat panels and a little bit of fabric.

All in all I think I did a good job of shopping and supporting the local economy.

I have returned...

We got home last night at about 5:00pm. Just in time to fix dinner. But this morning I have finished relaxing and took some pictures of my show & tell.

Our first stops on Friday were Mary Jo's and Sew Much Fun in Gastonia, NC. I was able to find a stripe for the binding and a piece of sale fabric to help make the back of my bird quilt.

This is my friend, Susan, who rode with me displaying her great find of two layer cakes and coordinating fabric to make quilts for her first Grandchildren.

This is all that we purchased on the way to The One Stop Shop Hop. We met up with the rest of our group at the Olive Garden in Rock Hill, SC for dinner. Then all eleven of us checked into the hotel in Lancaster, SC for show & tell, plus a little drinking of Choco-wine, and rest before the shop hop on Saturday.
