I had a bunch of bonus HST's left from my last project. I saw a quilt pattern that had these friendship stars laid out in a circle. My HSTs are 2 1/2" so I drew up the layout and made up this trial block. It measures 18 1/2". I have enough leftover background to make one more block With dark purple stars. I like this block but I am thinking on how to make a quilt layout that is more interesting. My plan for these blocks will probably be to put them on the back of the Mystery quilt.
