The Fun continues....

I have now completed all 80 of the blocks......whew! These blocks measure 7 1/2" finished and contain top, batting, and back.

I laid out 10 rows of 8 each, 8 rows on the bed and 2 rows on the floor.

Chipper approves of the layout, so now it's on to putting them together. I have selected a variegated jewel tone thread for the top stitching around the blocks. As soon as I get some done I'll show you the way it assembles.

Rainy Weekend

Aren't these triangular blocks beautiful? They were given to me as a project that I can add to my UFOs to finish by my quilting friend Delores. They are part of the unfinished projects left to her by her Mother. Every so often her Sister sends her a bunch of UFOs that her Mother started years ago and when she has finished as many as she wants then she finds friends who will take on finishing some. As far as I can tell this set of blocks was going to be set in rows, there are 33 completed pieced triangles. One row was made using white in between the colors. I decided to change to off white since there was not any white included with the blocks. I like the combination of off white with the 30's fabrics. Do any of you know what this block is called or how it is usually set? 

Since we finally got some rain here in SC, I decided to start finishing up some of my UFOs. This is a pattern called Fun and Done, started I don't remember how long ago. So now I am going to work on it until it's done fun or not. Then I am going to work on the basket quilt that I started awhile ago.

I just have to fill the baskets with flowers, I think that I have procrastinated long enough.
