Scrappy Back

I toughed it out today and was able to find enough junk in my stash to make a back for the scrap quilt that I just finished. I was real tempted to run to the store and buy a piece of wide backing. I find that it is almost as much work to piece the back as it is to piece the top, but it is not because it took less time. Well, I am proud to say that I actually used up some old fabric that has been laying around for years.

The Inspector checked all the seams and gave it his approval.Of course some of his inspections were annoying as he likes to check both sides as I am trying to figure out what to add next.

Busy Week

My 21st Wedding anniversary was June 4th and this chair was my gift from DH and it arrived this week. Love it because it is sized (S,M,L) to fit, in my case Small.

This is fabric that I purchased in Idaho in May.

Yesterday I went to Stitches in Laurens, because my frequent buyer card was full and they had more of the Stonehenge fabric. Now I have enough to make a quilt.

This picture is from 'Bella Bella Quilts' I just love the star and diamond border. I may have to try it.

Today I'm off to sew with the Busy Bees and catch up on what everybody's been up to.
