I rescued another Vintage Singer. I went into my local Habitat Store on Wednesday and spotted a really dirty Singer 15-91in a desk style cabinet that had a bad finish on it. The thing that pulled me back to it was that I had seen it here last month. The price on it was high for all the elbow grease and cleaning that it needs and also they had no place to plug it in to see if the motor was good. I gave in and made an offer that I could live with even if the machine turns out to be inoperable.
It is going to stay in the back of my car until I put new floor pads on it and clean the rust off the attached foot pedal.
Here is a better view of the foot pedal. So far I have been unable to find out any information on this set up. The cabinet is a Singer #65. The Machine is direct wired through cabinet to the foot pedal. Before I unload this from my car I plan to look under that cover.
Here is another view of the pedal. I will get more pictures tomorrow when I get the bottom cleaned.
