New project...

Not much sewing going on here, the weather has been very nice not too cool or too warm, so I have been weeding my flower beds. It really makes me feel old, as all the aches and pains set in from doing things I am not used to.

This is a picture of the artwork that my Youngest Daughter did for me. I had it digitized and took it to my friend who has a commercial embroidery machine. The plain cats turned out better than I thought, as my friend was able to fix a few things on them. The white cat on the quilt block is going to be my quilt business logo. I am going to try to get a purse made tomorrow with my logo on the front and maybe a carrier for my iphone.

Design Wall Monday...

Not much on my design wall, just this little block that is being made into an example of what a small group round robin would look like.

I need to have the flimsy done by tonight's guild meeting. To see what others are doing go to Patchwork Times

 This did not work for a plan of a round robin because of the size of the beginning block. The apple block is six inch finished. Ithink it will be a nice wall hanging.

This is what I purchased last Thursday night at Aiken's Cammellia Clubs auction. It's name was "Kitty" so I decided that I needed it. It is a miniature variety.

 This is a picture from the internet of what the blooms should look like if I don't kill it before Spring. 

 This is the other specimen that I got, it's name is C.M.Wilson. This one is said to be a medium variety. They also had some large variety ones, but said without trimming they could grow up to twenty feet high.

 This is what the internet said it's blooms will look like, but I couldn't find when it is expected to bloom. Kitty is supposed to bloom March to April. The C.M.Wilson start has buds so I am thinking  any time between March to April or sooner. I am supposed to keep them in pots until next year, so wish them luck, as I don't have a very green thumb.
