Part Two The Pieceful Hearts Quilters 2009 Quilt Show

I met this budding pattern designer, Sandie Duerksen, she made this quilt to honor her prize winning dog. If we are lucky she will continue to make patterns and will get them published so that we can purchase them from her. I wish her good luck and want her to know that I would be a customer, wouldn't you?

The Pieceful Hearts Quilters  did their own Bra Challenge

This was a really interesting hand quilted, two sided quilt.

I really ejoyed seeing all the quilts, shopping, and visiting with other Quilters. Tomorrow I will post some more pictures of the quilts that I liked........Marj

Count Down to the Quilt show

This has been a very busy wek for me. Monday night was Carolina Pine Quilter's guild meeting and we had a Quilter's Yard Sale. I took 4 boxes of Quilting excess stash to sell and made a handsome amount of money to put in my long arm quilt machine fund. Only problem was that I brought home 4 boxes that didn't seem to be any less full of excess stash. I guess I will have to go through it and see if there is anything worthy of a giveaway.

Then on Wednsday I had to cleanup my cutting/kitchen table so that I could have dinner on it. You see it was DD#1's 20th Birthday and we had my MIL & SIL over for dinner. I made my daughter's favorite casserole (Tuna Lasagna Bundles) and my MIL brought over a vanilla ice cream cake for desert.

Thursday was the Busy Bee quilt group meeting and we got together and sewed (but not me because I was not together enough to bring something). We also made plans to go to the North Augusta Quilt show tomorrow. So I will post many pictures then.

This is a sneak preview of some cornerstones I am working on for a new scrap quilt that I found in AP&Q Vol18,No5 This goes with the block I showed a couple of posts ago.

Paper Piecing

Vikki asked about the paper piecing I did for her Hug Swap gift and I told her about two of the Designers that I follow and purchase patterns from

I follow a paper piecing designer at www.silverliningoriginals.com her name is Linda Hibbert. She has a newsletter that she emails once a month with a free BOM. I would just a read and download her free patterns for about two years. Her patterns are very intricate. But this year she started the BOM with birds and I just had to do it. check her web site out.

Another web site that I like for easier paper piecing patterns is www.paperpanache.com the designer is Linda Worland. She does a mystery block about every other month to download for free. Her patterns are easier to piece. Check out her web site she has some beautiful patterns.
