It has been a very busy couple of weeks. I took a class with Jamie Wallen at the Quilting Connection in Greenville, SC.
These pictures were taken by Rich and they show a bit of the fun we had learning how to dye fabric.
I look a little crazy, but I had a great time. We were busy from 10:00am til 5:00pm with a break for lunch.
We used an old wringer washing machine to prepare fabric for dying. Makes me want to get one of my own to play with. I enjoyed the class, but the homework of rinsing the fabric to get the excess dye out is very labor intensive. I personally will probably only dye fabric in a class with a fun teacher to show me the ins and outs. When I get my fabric finally free of the excess dye I will try to get some pictures to show.
