Patientance is the Key to Happiness

I worked on cutting out my next four blocks of my Farmer's wife quilt, so I can sew them at my next Thursday Bee meeting.

In my mail box today I received a notice from The Stitchin Heaven that A Kitten's Tail BOM has been canceled. I emailed the shop to see if they have any kits. Time will tell if this quilt is meant to be.

I am teaching a class at the LQS on Saturday and I need to work on a bag for my College daughter. So it will be a busy weekend. I guess that staying busy will make the time go faster until the quilt machine gets here.

 

Brighter day!

Yes, today is a much brighter day for me. Yesterday I took my six year old car in for an oil change and air conditioning recharge and I was shocked when the Service agent called to tell me that the support to my Transmission was "plum flat blown out"! Well as you might expect I responded with "WHAT?" And he gave me the Yankee version " One of your transmission mounts is broken." So of course I called my DH and he had a Mechanic that he prefers to have fix our cars, so I brought the car home until next Thursday when he can fix it. Sounds to me like my Ford Five hundred was maybe put together with faulty parts. Hope this is the only thing that is wrong with it, as I would like to rely on it in June when we go on a driving vacation.

Today I went to Georgia in our trusty old Honda and that is where I got the beautiful Strawberries. I also got backing for my two charity quilts.

And the BIGGEST NEWS OF ALL, I purchased a Baby lock Crown Jewel 18" long arm. It should get here next week. I am soooo excited I have been saving a long time for a quilt machine and finally I got close enough, Hooray! Now all I have to do is clear a space to put it in our formal dinning room.

Design wall Monday

I used left overs from the strip quilt that I made last week and added the gold frame. The sampler blocks were from an exchange that I participated in a couple of years ago. The side triangles will be dark blue and the corners will be pieced RW&B. I think that this will make a great quilt to donate to quilts of valor.
