CharlotteQuilt Show 2009

I went to The Charlotte Quilter's Quilt Show 2009 today.

It runs from March 20-22 and is located at

Below are some of the quilts I saw at the show.......

The day was spent with 5 of my quilting buddies, lots of fun, quilt ogling, eating out, and on the way home a stop at famous "MaryJo's" fabric store.

Class Samples Ready

Not your Grandmother's Teapot. This one was made too quickly and now looking at it as a picture I think I will remake it with better contrast between the teapot and background.

Beach House Quilt 60"square, made from 19 fat quarters.

Both samples still need to be quilted, but are ready to give a sneak preview on Saturday at the Aiken Quilt Shoppe.

I am off to Charlotte, NC at 7:00am Friday with friends to go to the Charlotte Quilt Show......Marj

Paper piecing class

I taught the last of this paper piecing class today at the Aiken Quilt Shoppe. I had 4 students, they all did a great job, and I hope they now will enjoy doing more paper piecing.
My next class in paper piecing will be "Not your Grandmothers Tea set" I hope to have the sample done by Saturday.

Quilt retreat and HMQS show

The inspectors are going to get a break in May!

I am so excited, my DH has just reminded me of my trip to visit my friend who lives in Kuna, Idaho. I asked for this as my Christmas and birthday presents combined. Now all I have to do is get the plane tickets. The original plan was to attend the HMQS show together May 7-9. Now since her retreat that she runs is right before the show is just before the show I will get to do both. She has an extra machine for me to use at the retreat, all I have to do is bring the project I want to work on.
