Another Customer quilt done...

This is Norma's quilt, that she made for her daughter to take to college this fall. It was really easy to quilt as it is made from flannel and the needle goes through it like butter. 

I used a panto called "Drifting Leaves" . It turned out so beautiful, thank you Norma for letting me quilt it for you.

 This Is Pat K.'s beautiful quilt.

 She wanted something swirly quilted on it, so I used the "Spaced Out" panto.

The back of her quilt is just as pretty as the front.

Purple chain quilt top is finished...

It feels good to have this one finished. I plan to try out some fancy quilting in the light areas.

Next will be more customer quilting and then the Round Robin and Row Robin blocks.

Design wall/floor Monday...

The borders for my 2010 UFO are coming along. The center square that started this quilt was a class I took. By the time I finished the square, I thought it would be boring as a whole quilt. I had just bought the book "Scrap-Basket Sensations" and loved the "Over and Under" pattern which is where I came up with the first round. I also liked the "Island Chain" pattern. I used left over fabrics for the first square and since it is batiks I was able to add fatquarters and a jelly roll to get enough fabric to enlarge the quilt.When I ran short on the background fabric I had to substitute a second background, as I could not get any more of the first one.I used the opposite of the star in the "Over and Under" pattern to fill the large empty corners that would have been left when I added the "Island Chain" pattern for the outer border. I have all the parts cut out and am going to try to get this one all together tonight. To see some truly awesome design walls go to Judy's blog Patchwork Times.

Working on a UFO ...

This is an old UFO maybe from 2010ish. I pulled it out to try out the diamond border. It looks like it will fit what I want to add to the next round Robin quilt that I am working on.
