Some old & new projects finished !

I finished sewing the binding on my '08 Christmas quilt on wednsday. Now I will be able to start my next quilt project. It is a quilt for my mother. I have decided to make her a quilt that she would not make for herself. It is Quilt in a Day, "Grandmother's Garden Quilt". I am pretty sure that it will take more than one day to complete. I'll let you know how my progress is going.

I am also working on a quilted jacket with two of my friends. So far I am done with fitting of the muslin part and about 1/3 of the paper piecing.

On Thursday I went to my sewing bee with the "Busy Bees". My fellow Bee (Susan) taught the members of our group how to make the thread catcher she gave to us for Christmas (it came from someone's blog) and the snappy bag which we all bought the pattern for recently.

This weekend I worked on sewing the binding this quilt, which was my BOM of 2007.
The comfort inspector gave it her approval.

We had a slight amount of snow this morning and it stayed until about noon.

I spent the day at a friends house working on a jacket that has paper pieced mariner's compasses on it. Now I have homework to do and then we will get together again to assemble all the parts into the finished jacket.
