I've been working on my Smith Mountain quilt...

 This is the quilt that I started in a workshop with Bonnie Hunter earlier this year. I now have all the star blocks done. (12-red and 16-black)

Next I started counting the chimney blocks and found that I had only finished half of them. So, now I am working on the next 14 blocks to get the total 28. After that I cut out all the tri-recs for the pieced border. (94 each of the three parts) Whew! I am looking forward to a break in making Bonnie Hunter quilts. I love them, but they are very big on hundreds of small pieces. Hope you are having a productive quilting weekend.

Next big project for me is helping my daughter find an apartment in Macon, GA.

I am going to miss her help soon as she has gotten a job in Macon, GA as a Registered Nurse. She will find out at the end of this week when her start date is. On one hand I will be sad that she is moving. But on the other hand Ruby and I will get to move into her old room. Then when quilting on large quilts I can actually leave them on the machine overnight without an elaborate cat deterrent covering, cause I will have a door to close. Oh happy day!
