Getting warmed up on a charity quilt...

This panto is called "Footprints" and I like how it looks on this baby boy quilt.

Tomorrow I will see my Busy Bee Quilters and Friday I will try to get caught up on my quilting.

Ice Storm, Earth Quake, five and a half days with no power......

This is the beautiful world that we woke up to Wednesday February 12th.

 The ice was beautiful and about three quarters of an inch thick.

 Lots of trees and branches broke and fell all over our town.

 Comet seemed to not mind the cold.

Our next door neighbors trees. Luckily only some of the small ones broke.

 Our electric went out by 1:30pm Wed. Feb 13th and didn't come back on until tonight Monday Feb 17th at 8:00pm This is how we spent our evenings trying to keep warm.

This is with a flash. We were lucky to have a gas fire place and a gas hot water heater. We also were able to spend some of our time with my MIL as she had power. She also helped us by giving us space in her freezer so that we didn't lose all of our frozen foods, only what was in our refrigerator.

The 4.1 earth quake happened on Valentines Evening around 10:20pm. There was no damage here that I have heard.

We are very thankful of all the workers that helped to get our power back up. It is sad that we are so spoiled by this wonderful resource. It sure does give us a lot of pleasure and comfort. Just glad that now my life can get back to normal.
