Finishes MIL valance, UFO#2

I finished this valance this morning for my mother in law, so I can give it to her when I see her Thursday.

I am working on finishing this UFO for our guild challenge. We entered five UFO's in the challenge and #2 on the list was drawn. This was my first experiment with the "Wondercut ruler". The blocks were already assembled and I put the top together tonight.
This is 30's fabric with kitties on it and I also have a baby size made with left overs, maybe I will get them both quilted this weekend, since my DH is going on a business trip........Marj

The inspectors have approved of the posting of the incoming fabric.


Bandit likes the added blue and yellow pieces.

I couldn't resist this black & white cat print.

Grady liked the new light yellow batik that I got to use with my Bali sherbet pops.

These blue & yellow quarter yard cuts are being collected to make another buzz saw quilt for me, since I gave the first one away.

I found this pattern at Stitchen in the Carolinas Quilt shop. The designers are from North Myrtle Beach. They have an article in the JUN/JUL issue of "QUILT" magazine, their quilt is on the cover. Check out their website http://www.thesweetteagirls.com/

This is the fabric that I will share as travel squares from Myrtle Beach with the Busy Bees.

I'm back, this is the view from our 22nd floor hotel room. We had a really relaxing time and now its back to our regular routine.
