Trip to Idaho

Well Ladies I am off to Idaho for a Quilting Retreat with a long time friend and then we are going to Salt Lake City to the Home Machine Quilting Show. I will be on the trip from May 1st to May 12th. So I will try to make some posts when I am at my friends house on the weekends since I don't have a laptop.

The bag that I am making for my friend still has hand work to do.

Border trouble and Pattern writting

I now know why you should always buy at least 2 yards of border fabric.....I had to splice this on all 4 sides because I only bought 1 1/2 yards of the stripe. It is on now but the mitered corners are not sewn yet, because I am running short on time before I leave to go to Idaho.

This is a sideways picture of a part of a pattern that I had to finish writing before I leave. And now I know that I do not enjoy writing patterns for quilts.

This is the quilt that I had to make a written pattern for, because I promised my friend at the quilt shop that I would. It's done and I do not think I will be writing another one any time soon.

I also got my new washing machine today, another new thing to learn how to use in a very short time frame. I also have a paper piecing class that I almost forgot about to teach tomorrow......whew time sure flies when your having fun......I'll write more if I can get my laundry done and my bag packed before Friday when the plane leaves for the HMQS show......Marj
