Waiting for SNOW

 

I have been working on the Crabapple tree Quilt and I have finished 25 tree blocks. I also have the sashing and corner stones, now I need to find setting triangles and borders. The Busy Bees are going on a quilting sleepover next Friday, so I will look for them when we are at the One Stop Shop Hop in Lancaster, SC on Saturday.

 

I was asked to participate in a chain type exchange called a Quilt Tree. The squares shown above are the ones that I received. If you would like to be a part of this exchange please leave me a comment to let me know. I have to pick 4 quilters to send two 6x6 squares of purple quilting fabric to and you in return pick four quilters and so on and so on......... It sounds like it could be a fun thing to do.

Next on my list of things to do while waiting for the SNOW that they are predicting for our area is to work on my Wool Crazy Block.........Marj

CPQ Guild Meeting

Here are some of the show and tell from last nights Carolina pine quilters guild meeting. There were a lot more quilts shown but my pictures didn't turn out, so here is a taste of our night.

 

  

  

  

The little bears on this quilt were 3-dimensional made from fleece.

 

  

  

Gail presented a program on how to make Cathedral Windows blocks. I found it very informative and may even try it someday.

Dolores showed her Cathedral Windows table runner. It is so beautiful and may inspire me to try to make one soon.

Trees

 

I started the Crabapple tree quilt from Bonnie's book on Superbowl Sunday. So far six blocks are done, 19 more to go.

 

I was drawn by Yuki's cat Snowflake as the winner of  one of her compass sampler block giveaways. She is drawing more winners for other blocks from the sampler, good luck. She is an awesome quilter, check out her blog HERE . 
My quilt guild meets tonight so I will take my camera for capturing some inspiration for you and myself.
