This has been a very busy weekend. I finished my daisy chain quilt top and was able to make a matching pillowslip. The quilt inspectors came and checked out my progress......
Then the special seam inspector did his testing.......
The comfort inspector finished and gave her approval........

Then on Monday night I had to get ready for our first Carolina Pine Quilt guild meeting for 2009. This year I am the President and this is a real challenge for me (I am not totally at ease speaking to a group) About two hours before the meeting, my VP Susan called to ask if it was OK if our local quilt shop owner, Nancy, could bring a special guest to show her new pattern to the group. And by the way her name is Marti Michell. She and her husband were on their way home from a workshop/class in Charleston. They made aside trip to our little town on their way to Atlanta. So I am still in shock, but very jazzed at how our guild started the year. Marti is very sweet she showed us her new "strippers" templates (and gave one as a door prize) and showed her quilts from her new pattern line. I'll see if I can get a picture to post soon.
