Didn't get much done today other than packing for a trip.

I am going away for a week and I will not have access to a computer. I will be back to blogging on September 12th. See you when I get back and hopefully I'll have lots of pictures to share.

Cornicopia Progress

I've been getting everything stitched down, then it's on to the details. I am loving this project as it is moving along fast. It is getting me in the mood to get back to my Wool Crazy again.

Quilt Sampler Magazine

It came to the LQS last week!!!!!!

I think I picked it up on Thursday on my way to car line at the High School. I needed something to look at while I waited for my Daughter to get out of school.

I love this magazine, wish that I could subscribe to it  so I would not miss an issue. There are always lots of beautiful projects in it. I also love reading about the featured shops too and visiting their online sites. I also use it when traveling to pick shops that I want to visit.

I am working on this fun little Halloween quilt, using fat quarters that I have collected for years. Just never made a Halloween quilt, I guess now its time.

This Thanksgiving wall hanging called to me and I ordered the kit right away. It comes from The Woolen Needle in Iowa. Wow! they are very prompt I received the package today, that's less than a week turnaround.

 I was able to trace the pattern, cut out the parts and fuse them to the background today. The wool is beautiful, I can hardly wait to start stitching.

Design challange

I finished the sunflower blocks that I started.

Now I am thinking of how to use these left over piano key strips with the sun flower blocks.

This was my first idea, with just back ground to fill in the empty spaces. I'll sleep on this idea and see if I still like it in the morning.
