It's Here!

My DH and I went to JEFF's on Friday.

Jeff has a great selection of fabric to choose from and any other quilting supply that you need. If you don't see what you want they will order it for you, they are a full service shop.

They also sell every kind of machine that you can imagine. Yes, we were here to pick up my Crown Jewel.

It arrived home safe and sound, all six boxes. Chipper thoroughly checked it out.

He is sure that we will love it.
I'll show more pictures when we are able to start putting it together.

The mail woman delivered a box of goodies on Friday also. I had ordered some fabric for my Mom and since I wanted to save on shipping I got some Lilac Hill precuts for myself too. lol 
This was the first time that I ordered from The Thrifty Needle and they were quick getting my order filled and shipped. I would definitely order from them again.

While looking up which magazine that my Bargello quilt was in, I found a block that I had marked awhile ago. In the magazine they made the block using paper piecing and applique. I decided to try a block using some templates that I had. The drunkards path template finishes 3 1/2" and I was able to match the size with the EZ tri-rec template set. I think this is a very interesting block. I especially like that there seems to be a octagon around the circles.

 I finished two more blocks to see how they would look when put together.

I have to do something besides clean while I wait for my Crown Jewel to arrive.

It has arrived at the store and I will be picking it up on Friday. Then I have to wait until Tuesday before the space is cleared for me to assemble it. Time is moving slow, but I am sure it will be worth it when it is ready to use and I can get started on my new adventure.

Charity Quilt pieced...

Not much going on this weekend. I was able to sew up this kit of 5" squares from my Guild Charity outreach group. I am planning to quilt quite a few of these when my long arm arrives. It will help me get up to speed and our group will get a bunch of charity quilts finished.
