Margo Bag progress

I now have 7 out of the 10 I have cut out sewn.

I have found 2 more fabrics that I want to make bags out of, so I'll cut those out and that will be the end of my purse production for this year.......at least until I give in to pressure from family to make just one more.

I sure will have a lot of bags for show and tell at the Guild meeting this Monday night. I think I will be the official "Bag Lady".

Busy Bee Thursday

Today I put leftover ham bone from Sunday's dinner in the crockpot with some red potatoes & fresh green beans. Then, I went to the Busy Bees get together and I worked on some scrap quilt blocks.

This pattern is from Quiltmaker Jul/Aug '10. I assembled the pieces that I cut last week and now am ready to assemble the blocks next Thursday.

I couldn't resist assembling a few blocks to see how they will look, but I am not going to put the rest together until next Thursday. I like having a portable project for taking to friends houses.

This evening I also took time out to attend an Augusta Greenjackets baseball game with my DH.

Another Margo Bag and Chipper

Only got one more Margo Bag done today. I have three more marked and ready to assemble, so I will take them to my sewing bee tomorrow.

Chipper is quite a busy boy. When he is up and about it is hard to get a picture of him. So today I decided to catch him on his window seat.

It is made of leftover batting scrapes piled on top of a tote full of wool scrapes, totally a quilting cat's perch.

He is easiest to catch for a picture when he is sleeping.Just thought you wold like an update, since he has been too busy playing with his own toys lately. I guess purses are not his thing.

Circle quilt and Margo Bags

 This is what I have been piecing, between making purses. I found out that I still nee some large prints with fish or other animals on them. Guess I'll have to order a couple as I was unable to find any in my local quilt shops. Seems like oriental prints are not in fashion for quilt making at the moment. I wonder if this is the economy or just a trend?
