Very rainy day.....

I started early today to take my LAM Ruby to the sewing machine shop in Augusta, hoping that it would be a quick easy fix. It is not so I will not be able to bring her home until next week.

Oh, well I still have some other things to do. I am going on a quilting trip with my Friends next week. So, I took my car in for an oil change to get ready for the trip.

While waiting for the car I started stitching on my life is beautiful block. Almost got the first one finished. Only 31 more to go...they are small so they stitch up pretty quickly. The original was done in reds, but mine is being done in purples. This is going to be a long term project as my embroidery is not that fast. I have already pieced all the four patches.

Next up I am going to kit up a project to finish during the quilting trip next week. We are renting a house in Edisto, SC. It looks like the weather is going to be cold, but when one has quilting to do and Friends to hang out with it doesn't matter what the weather does.

I am on quilting hold....

As I broke my first needle on Ruby and it knocked the timing out of line. I have the Sunflower quilt about 7/8ths done and would like to get one other secret quilt done before Sunday night. I will be delivering the machine to my dealer early tomorrow morning. Hope he can get it timed and back in action by noon.

Started another quilt on Ruby....

I started the quilting on Sally's quilt. I am using Golden Threads paper to copy the appliqued flowers to the body of the quilt to stitch on. This is working out great. I'll show more when I finish.

Inspector Scotty is holding down my extra batting.

I have also been working on my round robin and row robin, but as they are secret they cannot be shown until the reveal in November.
