Another Choice

I am now leaning toward using these batiks for making the mystery quilt with Bonnie. I have 8-blues and 6-purples. I would need to get 2 more purples, background and I am thinking a really bright pink.
Any sugestions what the other color should be?
purple, blue & ............Pink, gold, green or ...........? I think the background will be a very pale shade of whatever the third color is.
Please tell me what you think.

I am going to take three of my finished quilt tops over to STITCHES, in Laurens,SC. They are having a sale Friday Nov.13th and Sat Nov. 14th. So while I am there I can get the rest of the fabric for the mystery quilt. http://www.stitchesinc.net/

I am no color genius but I would lean toward picking a dark pink or magenta from the purple fabrics as a third color and using a pale blending lavender as the light background....just a thought.
The batiks you've chosen are beautiful! I will be eager to read what others suggest.

I personally love blues, purples, and greens together, but I'm not sure green would work well with your group because there's absolutely no greens in any of your batiks. The purples show some blues, so they work well together. You might think about going to the opposite end of the color spectrum for some contrast - yellow or orange, perhaps?

Lovely fabrics. Blues and purples look so great together.
